Anyone ever heard of this scope?
« on: July 10, 2005, 03:32:43 PM »
Has anyone ever heard of a scope made by Weaver called a "Challenger"?  I saw one at a gun shop that was a 3X9.  It was longer than a typical scope and had a steel tube.  It appeared to be in decent condition and from what I could determine, it seemed to function well.  It was used and I was considering it for a Marlin .22.  Could not tell where it may have been made.

:-) I believe the Challenger series was made after 1984 and possibly a more economical line. I think the tube was aluminum but would work well if it has an AO adjustible to at least 50 yards. HTH
