Rooster Labs Lubes- what differences?
« on: November 21, 2005, 02:35:34 PM »
This may be splitting hairs but I would like to know what, if any, performance difference there is between Rooster's Zambini (pistol) lube and their HVR (high velocity rifle) lubes. I know how they look and feel - (Zambini is harder and "waxier" while HVR seems a bit softer and tacky.) I know that HVR smokes a bit, especially in my revolvers but the performance seems good.

I guess my gut suggests that one was formulated not to smoke (for indoor ranges, etc) while the other was formulated with performance as the #1 criteria, hence it is a more suited for longer barrels (rifles). Does that seem right to those who know or have experience wit them?
