Well RdFx is sleeping at the switch with a history question so here goes an easy one; What really famous lure maker published the "American Woodsman" magazine in the 1950's and a smaller newspaper called the "Trapper"? Ace :grin:

:grin: Got it this time fish! S. Stanley Hawbaker along with his publications wrote two books, "Trapping & Trailing" in the late 1930's and then of course the well know book "Trapping North American Furbearers." Stan was one of the old timers i've met personally, I spent a day with him in 1964. Stan and Mrs Hawbaker treated me like royalty and showed me the business operations as well as showing me around the countryside. His Son Edwin who now runs the family business and another Brother were both away at college at the time of my visit so I never got to meet either of them. Ace

i finally got something right.i also have his book trapping north american furbeares. it is very informitive.
