Anyone have experience with the posi-lock feature of the Burris handgun scopes? Seems I've heard that once the act of "posi-locking" can shift the position of the crosshairs.
Shoot my 15" 7-08 today. Shot okay, got on paper and adjusted to keep it in a 3" circle at 100 yards. Made a final adjustment and shot a 3 shot group of 1.5"!!! Thought that was outstanding for my first time out. Anyway, wanted to move my shot group 1" to the right. Moved the scope 4 clicks, and then realized I hadn't locked the posi-lock on the 1.5" group.
Long story short, I moved the scope the 4 clicks for a 1" right adjust, locked the posi-lock, and fired a 3-shot group (about 2" group), but the group moved 3" high and 2" to the right. Can't figure it out.
On thought I had, but doesn't explain the vertical shift, is the scope may be a 1 click = 1/2" adjustment. Bought the gun and scope used and didn't get manual.
Any thoughts??? Thanks
