Regular granulated walnut hull media with rouge (red) or (green) cleaner will work fine on BP shells.  Ceramic media works better and faster.

If you use the ceramic media (small rods, cones, chips, bars, etc) to clean BP fired brass, you should use water and soap solution.  It cleans/polisihes better as a wet media.

That also means your vibratory/tumbler should be DESIGNED for wet operation.  Some are not, and leak horribly.  My vibratory tumbler came with warnings to not use liquid, but it won't leak if the liquid media level is kept low.
