Remington 40X rimfire with electronic trigger
« on: October 27, 2005, 05:24:21 PM »
A friend has a single shot 40X rimfire he aquired used some time back- never got fully mounted in the stock so never shot.  He then got involved with other things and set aside.  He asked me about trigger recommendations, as it has an elecronic trigger and he was thinking about using a conventional trigger.  The electonic part is through a solenoid and a microswitch.

Did Remington sell them this way or is this something made up by an individual or an aftermarket conversion?  The person he got it from years ago has since passed on.

eeleater, I think the trigger your friend has is a Green Electronic. The last one that I saw was in the early 1980's, giving away my age there. I would go with a Jewell trigger if I were him and I have three 40x rimfire rifles with jewell triggers. He could go with a Briley adapter and use the Anschutz 5018 trigger. I thought about doing the Anschutz trigger myself, but the Jewell is less that half the cost and you have to modify the stock for it to fit. Well that's my 2 cents, good luck to you.
