Author Topic: Ruger 77/22 or CZ 452 Training for 9 yr old? (Read 566 times)

I went to Wally Worlds website and found that the 77/22 start at $400+ and go up from there. The CZ 452 start at $210 and go up to the mid $300s I'm lookin at getting the 452 Training for about $220.
Christmas gift for 7 and 9 yr olds
Everyone seams to like both these. Is the Ruger worth that much more considering it will probably need a trigger job, and the CZ comes with adjustable trigger?

I think I made up my mind... I just looked at a similar post last dated Sept. 2004.

Looks like the 452 is getting wrapped this yr.

Have you considered the possibility that either of those may be just too physically large to fit a 7 or 9 yo? Neither my 11 or 9 yo have long enough arms for them to correctly aim an adult-sized rifle. We ended up with the Marlin 15Y, a youth-sized .22LR.

You can't ever go wrong when choosing a CZ. :grin:
