Get a Bushnell that falls within your price range. Check with Jon at The Optic Zone for best pricing. I've tested the entire line of Bushnell scopes and am convince all are great buys for the money you spend. I think the Sportsman line is what you're looking at but am not sure off the top of my head.

If you get a scope in that price range get a fixed 4x. Less parts to go bad and will be brighter.

Jon has a bunch of scopes in your indicated price range, but if you can, save a bit more money, get the most scope you can afford, your money is better spent. Buying a fixed 4x has merit, 99% of my big game hunting has been done with my scope set at the lowest power, kind of a waste to spend more for less when you don't really need it and won't use it.

nasem,

Three or so years ago I would have told you to stay as far away from BSA optics as you could.  But a couple of years ago BSA completely changed their manufacturing process and now they're not a bad scope at all.  I put one of their air rifle approved scopes on my .378 Weatherby Magnum for barrel break-in(over 100 rounds of full house loads) without a problem.  It is still working today.  I see no reason why one wouldn’t work just as well if not better than a cheap Bushnell Banner.  I would opt for the 3-9 40mm model so you can mount it as low as possible on your Mossberg 100 rifle.  Lawdog

Nasem, just give Jon or Tammy a toll-free call and ask em how much for shipping, they're real nice folks to talk to and they're a GBO sponsor supporting this wonderful site for us to visit!
