Dear Community,

It has been brought to my attention that one of the greats of our sport has called it quits and gone fishing, this is so shocking to me that I am taken aback. Is their anyone out there that can confirm or deny this.

Was it alll the late night drinking, chicken's constant peach cobbler stealing, my snoring on the line, what was it..........the world needs to know.

Please, if anyone know's the true facts please respond.........Bill do not go quitly into the night, go screaming and howling.

Hey Dawg, Yup just sold the last of my competition guns the other day.  Just got tired of competition after 15 years I guess. Sick of the whiners too.... ya know the small percentage that never will be......but just can't stop bitchin but won't practice or part with a dime.
I sure will miss a lot of good folks and some good times and good drinkin but I'm going back to something I love.... fishing.
Hell it wasn't the late night drinkin I have a fresh bottle of Glenlivet for the fishin trip next weekend!! See what you southern boys did to me! Nuttin like that single malt scotch.  Bill R

Bill,

This is truely a sad day, you will be missed not only on the line but as a competitor who was about doing the right thing guess chicken will have to carry the torch now.

Good luck and stay in touch

Bill, Sorry that your giving up on silhouette. I may be one of  those never will be, but it's not due to lack of spending the dime as you say. Just remember that there are rules every were, including fishing. Hate to see anyone give up on the game, why not stay and voice your opinion and try to help us all. I started shooting silhouette in 1978 and no rule or whiner will ever make me give it up.  Have fun fishing and best of luck to you.

Hey Paul I always got a kick out of the line at the end of your messages about the golf course.....    I will miss a lot of friends and shooters I met around the country but it's just time for me to move on. I've lost the desire to compete any more.
stsbuyer, if you read what I wrote I connect those attributes together. basically there is a small percentage that don't practice, and won't spend and money either on equipment or to go to more than one match a month but then all they do is bitch when other people are whipping their butts with nice equipment. because they believe the gun is what wins the match.  The gun is merely a tool if you can't hold it right and haven't practiced it just doesn't matter. I fully understand that some shooters will never be able to make it to that upper tier of master class due to physical limitations or age creeping up. Those shooters usually know this and they aren't the ones that bitch. It's the ones that refuse to practice or spend any money but constantly cry. Those are the ones that take away from the enjoyment of a match . Fortunately they are a very small percentage.
I never had a problem abiding by the rules. I may not have liked some of them but I never played outside of them. The only complaint I have is changing a rule one year which causes shooters to spend thousands of dollars then switching it again a year or so later screwing each of those shooters out of their money.  That I won't be a part of any more!  Bill Robinson

Couldn't actually tell in person as you never showed at a real match of consequence.  I know I know gas is too expensive...I got sick....I had to work...my dog ate my homework.............

This guy was happy because he thought I died when he saw the title of the post. Just goes to show the class of this guy. See Dawg you just can't have a little fun with out someone trying to rain down some crap.

I thought you were leaving.  I took my response to your attack on me to email to keep it private so as not to waste anyone's time reading it but now that you bring it up publicly after you cuss and threaten me via email?  How about you or I post both emails so people can see who really has class you liar, yes that is right I am calling you a flat out lying piece of...

I dare you to post them but I know you won't because you will then show everyone what you really are.

You lost your fight and instead of doing something constructive like possibly lobbying to get another class added including those PCP sporters you sell your toys and run.  I will lobby to create just such a class because I think there is a place for it.

Oh and to correct you I wasn't happy thinking you died, try reading my post as well as my email a few more times and you might get it, try it sober.  Maybe get some friends that aren't drunk to help next time.

PS: I'm not a thousand miles away I'm in Orange County NY and I'll post my match schedule with directions so you can come up and visit me and we can have a chat in person if you want "Whorenut'' (I guess I have the same spelling problem as you) because obviously you can't read or your rage at having someone stand up and be successful against you makes you insane. Get over it dude and just leave already.

Sorry for my rant guys but there is nothing I hate more than a liar or someone trying to make themselves out to be someone they are not.  I can handle being called names but flat out lies get my blood boiling.

Medbill,

I don't know about the rest of the group, but I would like to read those e-mails that you have referenced, of course they may need to be edited for content  if posted here, but please do post or pm them to me. It's about time we air this out, opinions formed out of ignorance are just that.

Hey Medbill, I'm Kinda of confused, has the rules committee made a decision on PCP guns in the sporter class?

Hi Limey,

I honestly can't say for sure but it looks and sounds like it has been reversed.  I can only hope so.

That being said I would really like to see a PCP sporter class added and I do plan on writing the NRA again only this time asking for this class instead of asking for a rule reversal.

Sorry for sounding so assured the rule had been changed.  From Bill's actions I'm sure its a pretty good bet it has been.

Could someone please get EDITED BY GB some help?  He says he is ignoring me then he sends me a PM at 4:29am asking for my address, in his own words "Just send me your address".  Hmm and I'm the lunatic?  I tried replying Bill but you have me on your ignore list that means your ignoring me, look it up.

Seriously dude, get out on the lake and enjoy the rest of your life.

Cya Bill and as I said your welcome to come to my matches anytime, my home is another matter.
