T/C Renegade loads

I just obtained a T/C Renegade in .54, I have some T/C Maxihunters in 330 gr. are they a good deer projectile and what is a good powder charge for them, I am shooting Pyrodex granules

The Maxi Hunters are superb for deer. I shoot some out of my .50 Renegade in front of 90 grains of Goex FFG. i would start at 80-90 grains and go from there up to about 110 grain. Jack.

Also, FYI...if you give TC a quick call, they'll send you a free copy of their owners manual, which among other things, contains their ballistics/load data tables for various calibers, various projectiles, etc.
