Hi guy`s :D

    One of my buddies, just called me from one of the big deer hunting shows they are having this weekend in Tulsa, Okla. He was all excited and out of breath to tell me about a new 4 wheeler, and I think he said they called it the (MUDD)? I never have heard of them myself, but he went on the explain they are like a Kiawaski Mule, except they are only $5500.00 They come with a fully enclosed body, with a windshield wipers, and electric heater. A 6 ft dump bed, and they get about 45 mpg. Will travel about 65 MPH.  They come in camo paint.

    Have any of you guy`s ever heard of this? He`s suppose to bring some literature to me, to tell about them. He said they are made in China? I think.

    Anyhow if anybody has any experience or know of them, post on here.

I believe it is called the M.U.T.  It stands for Mini Utility Truck.  It is my understanding that it is a reconditioned Suzuki Carry-All.  Three cylinder, four stroke engines with a manual clutch and transmission. Some even have A.C.  They were sold in the U.S. for a while (mid 80's?) mainly for industial applications.  They latest influx of them have been imported from overseas.  They are quite capable, but I do not know about parts availability

They are called a MUT. The are high mialage on-road trucks for skipping around in Japan. They are sent over to the USA 5 or 6 to a container, and anyone can buy a full container or find someone selling them.
They are 4x4 and will accepte some ATV tires. Pretty cute little snub-nosed rigs.
I don't think they can be registered and driven on the roads in the US because they do not pass the crash tests or have all the safty stuff needed.

They are 4 1/2 feet wide and 10 feet long.

I can't speak for anywhere else, but here they are being sold as street legal.  In South Dakota almost anything, including ATVs, can easily be made street legal.  We have a number of local places selling them.  If you can get in on the original purchase, they are usually around $2,800.  The local "dealers" are selling them for around $4,500.
