I just got a quote fron my insurance co and the cost for my 2005 polaris 700 is $190.00 a year. That is $111.00 MORE than my polaris 500 HO.
I think that is pretty high for an ATV.

Do any of you have a good insurance co that has given you good rates?

I use Progressive for my motorcycle, but don't insure the KAwasaki Mule. If I replace it with a Rhino this year I will likely insure that one with progressive.

I have my atv's added on my auto policy, it's thru Auto Owners. I can't remember the cost but it's reasonable.
They also have a personal injury policy that they added on. It was only around $6.00 per 6 months. I thought that was a excellent deal.

What kinda insurance?

My auto company will not even discuss insuring four wheelers. My home owner's company covers it at no extra cost. I called and asked and it's covered even if stolen or damaged when I'm transporting it on my truck.

Here in Bama four wheelers are treated almost as if they don't exist. They are not highway legal so you cannot get a tag or register them. If caught on any road paved or dirt on public land you'll be fined. You can use them only on private land or designated trails set aside for them.

They are insured just like a car, fire, theft & oops I screwed up. I think it's a $100.00 deductable.

Auto Owners will let you add atv's & snowmobiles to their policies. But they won't give you much slack if you keep making claims. My feeling is they are doing you a favor, don't abuse it.

A friend had his snowmobile on his homeowners policy, the 2nd time he wrecked it........bye, bye...... cancelled.

2004 Polaris 700. 196.00/yr. thru Allstate in TN.
Worth it in my opinion.

That's the same exact price I just paid to insure a 2005 Polaris 700. That was with my having a $250 deductible.
