I have a Thompson 209 x 50 muzzleloader. I know I can put rifle barrels on this frame, but can I put pistol barrels on this frame? I had a contender in 7-30 waters and sold it . . . stupid idea as I look back, so I realize that my frame does not have the rimfire/centerfire switch like my Contender did. But I would only shoot center fire anyway. I also realize I would have to register the frame where I live.

Do not use the Encore rifle stock with a barrel less than 16". T/C puts a warning right on the buttplate telling not to use the stock with a barrel shorter than 16". So, you'll need an Encore pistol grip on that frame to use with the shorter barrel.
