Wichester Legendary Lawman 30/30 Value
« on: November 07, 2005, 07:56:47 AM »
I have a Winchester Legendary Lawman that is in 99% condition and has been fired.  It is in 30/30 and has the 16" barrel and saddle ring.  The silver receiver is engraved and it has a Lawman emblem inlaid in the stock.  I bought it for my daughter years ago and she shot it 3 times.  She decided she wanted a .243 with a scope so I just put it in the safe.  Can anyone tell me what it is really worth.  I know it is not a collector because it has been shot.  It does have really nice wood and engraving.  Thanks, ET

I have a few lever guns and have looked into commemoratives.  To have any value other than that of a "shooter", it has to be NIB, still wraped, never fired and the action never cycled.  It has to have all the hang tags, paper work etc.  The value of individual editions also varies with how many were manufactured.  You can check out Cherry's Fine Guns web site for the latest estimate of value.
