'93 Spanish Mauser rebuild result

'Spose those of you that are already familier with the 7x57 cartridge have heard this before, but I'm a new fan and intend to start playing around with more mausers.  Started with an old semi-sporterized '93 Spanish Mauser.  Acquired new stock from Richard's Micro-fit(had to wait 4 months), finished it out, mounted a Simmons Whitetail Classic 1.5X6 on it(on sale at Gander last March), and finally shot it off the bench.

Now I'm very comfortable with my 250 Savage, 257 Rob'ts, and 6.5x55 Swede, but was very happy with this new rig.  Trigger could use an update - plenty of creep there - but it shot real well, had very manageable recoil(I hate recoil by the by), using factory 140g Rem PSP Core-Lokt's.  I will use it this fall here in northern MN and WI.  I'm real happy my first project turned out so well.

Case you haven't heard, deer are running all over the place up here due to about 8 years of mild winters.  Buy the WI license, you get three tags, buy the MN license, you get three tags.  Now, if we could just get some cold weather...

Sounds like another winner!!!  I have collected a few 7mm rifles. I have one with an orginal stock with a 29" barrel scoped with a military style 3 post scope. I loaded up some 150gr Remington PSP's for it but i haven't benchrested it yet. I like shooting the 6,5 swede and the 7mm mausers after shooting big bores all my life.
