GOT AN IDEA FOR HOG BAITING
« on: November 04, 2005, 04:44:59 PM »
I just baited some fresh, big rooting areas that the hogs did last night close to the brush in a huge bermuda grass pasture. I figure they were looking for grubs. I got to wondering, what if one were to occasionally pour several dozen earthworms or night crawlers into those same areas the hogs rooted? Suppose those hogs would keep checking those same spots as long as there was something juicy to find? I can't really put out a feeder without fencing as there are cattle there.

Thoughts??

How did I get over the hill without getting to the top?

I believe that hogs will go where they find food and have some sense of security eating it.

Will hogs eat night-crawlers?  If yes, then sure, why not.  My question is whether live bait will "stay put".

You might dig a couple of holes and put some sour corn under a few inches of soil.

Not too messy, no feeder invloved, the cattle will leave it alone, and the pigs will tunnel over from the next section once they catch scent.

They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.
