High Standard magazines
« on: December 14, 2005, 04:41:53 AM »
I purchased a High Standard Victor back in 1983 when they announced that they were discontinuing their handgun production.  I had failed to purchase any spare magazines at that time because I didn't really feel a need for any.  Well, now I do have a need.  I started shooting Bullseye at our local club and am at a time disadvange because of only one magazine.  Does anyone out there have a couple you would consider parting with?  Will the new High Standard production magazines function reliably in the old models?  How can you identify an original magazine from an after market one?  I really don't want to pay $40.00 a piece for the current production magazines as that seems pretty steep.  Is there any place that anyone knows of where they could be puchased more reasonable?  Thanks, hope you can help me answer some of these questions.

New original mags are availible from Sportsmans Guide and Gun Parts. But like all High Standard mags they need some minor tuneing to feed correctly.
