Why...is Paris burning...?
« on: November 07, 2005, 03:31:30 PM »
..When hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf coast many Euro-bigmouths claimed that such was the result of Pres. Bush refusing to sign the Kioto accord...
Using their form of logic...I would suppose then, that the reason France has 300 towns in flames and the riots are spreading to other European countries....is because they refused to assist in putting Saddam in his proper place..

   ...What say you ?

The egocentric French have legionnaires, foreign patriots, prisoners, to fight for their Liberal Socialist ideals.  With unemployment hovering at 23 percent, (10.3 percent during the  President Lyndon Johnson Socialist heyday) it is NO wonder people are peeved!  By the way, French cuisine is way overrated!  If you are an American, they make you sit elsewhere in the dining area while paying a higher price for bad food covered with sauces to disguise it!! :gulp:

They've taken in too many middleeastern immagrents, and there is not enough jobs to go around.  At least that is what the news media is saying.  From personal experience most of the imagrants are totally illeterate, and have a problem working for non muslums.  Also if a woman works there they feel that position is beneath them, and will refuse to work there, especially if she is in charge.  They don't work well for or with non muslims.  So where are they going to work?  Who is going to hire them?  Also the employer is expected to furnish them with a prayer room, and five 20 minute prayer brakes each day, on top of all the other breaks the rest of the employees get.  They want their preferiential treatment.  I would not hire them.  My suggestion, give them a one way ticket back to where they came from.

Maybe our own government will take a look at this and realise we're not far behind.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

It's France.  Who cares?

I would have a lot more sympathy if France would remember the reason they aren't all speaking German.

This is my opinion.  Your opinion may vary.

TM7;

Believe the same scenario could develop if the newcomers were primarily Muslims....

Sourdough...don't pay much attention to the news media...
they aren't mentioning many of the very things that you have so aptly pointed out !
The media says " The immigrants have not been 'properly' assimilated ".
Excuse me media...but it is the task of the immigrants to assimilate themselves...if they decided to move to FRANCE 30 years ago they should have realized that they are moving to FRANCE...not to  MORROCCO # 2..

All the host country should do is to offer equal "opportunity"...it is the newcomers duty to assimilate him/herself into the dominant culture..
If they find themselves in conflict with the dominant culture..they can go back to the one they left.  ....A simple matter of "choice".

I agree with Ironglow 100%.  It should be the immigrants obligation to assimilate themselves into the country they choose to live in.  When my grandparents moved here from Sweden they made it a point to learn English ASAP and to fit in as I'm sure many of your grandparents or great grandparents did.  But it seems like the newer generations of immigrants want us to bend over backwards to suite them.  They want all the benefits this country has to offer but they are not willing to make any type of sacrifices or concessions for them.

Could what we see happening in France happen here?  Unless our Government gets it's collective heads out of the sand and start making some real changes I think that it is only a matter of time.

So hold onto your guns boys, you may someday soon need them to protect your families during an uprising.

If it wasn't for the French fleet at the Battle of the Chesapeake we'd all be speaking English.

It is sad, but TM7 has some valid points there. Some of the remote living peasants in Mexico have revived what they believe are the vestiges of Aztec culture...probably isn't; but that doesn't matter. What matters is that they THINK they have revived it..so they are in rebellion..

Many of the illegal aliens coming into the southwest think that we owe them Tx, Ca, Az, NM etc.....

Oooh..., That's a hard one...

But I'll hazard a guess.

Because it's time, and it should...?

(Sorry.  I just find it hard to be sympathetic.)

They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.

Are those fun loving, peaceful Muslims at it again?  I am so glad that the majority of them state that they are apposed to violence,  aren't you?  How long do you think it will be before we see this kind of thing happening in the US?

Along those same lines...

CULTURE
"In a nation like America, the acceptance of Multiculturalism leads to a kind of slow rot, as the distinctive ideas at the root of our culture—the Enlightenment ideals of our Founding Fathers—slowly die from neglect. But such a nation can ride on its previous cultural momentum for generations, taking many years to collapse from within—and that gives us a long time to fight Multiculturalism before it is too late. A nation like France, which finds itself host to a large minority of religiously strident Muslim immigrants thoroughly untouched by Enlightenment intellectual and political traditions, will not be allowed the luxury of a death by slow rot. It must act much more quickly to save itself. It is in the streets of the Parisian suburbs that one can now see the ultimate effects of Multiculturalism—and sense a premonition of the dark and murderous future that lays ahead for Europe." —Robert Tracinski

How about:     Tthe American and Allied Intelligence communities decided that they had had enough of being back-doored by the quasi-Marxist policies of France and countries like them.

They incited the already malignant Muslim segment of their society into thinking that they were getting a raw deal from the French government.
PAYBACK!!  Let 'em smoulder, then they might see what the French invited to live under their front porch.
I am not in a good mood today! :D
