Barrel alignment
« on: November 09, 2005, 02:39:20 AM »
I have an LC Smith 16ga. Field Grade Featherweight. The right barrel shoots about 8 inches high and 8 inches to the left of point of aim at 30 yards. Could anyone describe possible methods of diagnosing and correcting this problem? I would also be grateful for suggestions on a barrelsmith to do this work. Thanks for any help you all can provide.

Assuming that you did a pellet count on a 30" circle at 30 yds. is 8" really too much to worry about?  Are you that good?
The only remedy would be to re-regulate the barrels by re-soldering.  A major job.
