Well, I finally got that 45 into action at the range the other day and dangit
I wish I could give a glowing report of the results but the truth of the matter is that the outcome was something of a mixed bag. My shooting ranged from poor to fair and it wasen't the gun or the load. My best effort was a ten shot string that measured 5" across one way and 4" the other shooting at 25 yrds. My load was a 240 gr. LSWC over 10.2 grains of AA5 in a Star case sporting a CCI 350 primer. I'm not happy with the grips on that gun. My little finger fits under the grip and that's just not comfortable. Also, the middle knuckle on my "signal" finger gets whapped on a regular basis and that ain't a bunch of fun. Well, maybe with time and a bit of work I'll be able to work out the rough spots and things will improve. We'll see.
