What recoil pad fits handi?

Looking to replace my recoil pad on my handi 500. What recoil pad will fit and what do ya recommend? Thanks!! :D

The small grind-to-fit or slip on will work. They don't make one for it. They list one for the 988 Slug gun, but the template doesn't match any of my stocks. CWLongshot has a prefit on his .500 that will work but it doesn't fit well.

Yea, Tims right. so far they havent seen the need to offer pfefits for anything but the Ultra slug and even that one dosen't fit great. I will tolerate it for the time being. It took mne SOOOO long just to get this gun, I am just happy I'll get to knock down some deer with it!!!

The best bet is to have one fit to your stock. I prefer the limbsaver models!!

I'd bet there are quite a few slug gun owners that appreciate the one they did see fit to make,  I can't imagine shooting a single shot slug gun without a darn good pad!! :eek:

 You are spot on!!
 I stopped by the range tonight after work. I wanted to dbl ck zero on two 12 ga's before the upcoming opener here in CT.

The ultra was right there as expected. It actually shot better than the last time I benched it!! Three shots of Remington Buck hammers into one cloverleafed hole @100!!!

 The second gun is one I made up, it is a 157 action with a Tracker II rifled BBl with synthetic stocks and fact pad. The thing cant weigh 5lbs.
 The first couple reg rem rifled slugs where just to get it on paper. (Save coin too) Recoil not aweful, kinda what you would expect. Then I shot a couple Buck Hammers....shooter hammers is more realistic!!!  1.25 oz of lead at an avertised 1550fps in a sub 5lb gun = RECOIL!!!

Recoil is not normally an issue. I love my 375H&H Ruger Magnum and I shoot it often. As I do heavy 45-70's in my Browning and Marlin's. But this is right up there with the 378Wby!!! It completely jusmed out of my left hand up on the forend! My shoulder is still sore as I write this now, some 4.5hours later!!!

I just put up an add to swap it for a 20ga rifled!!!  I did not realize my Ultra slug "tamed" the recoil quite that much!!!

Hey cwlongshot what is the model # of your prefit limbsaver pad?  I just got a 450 barrell and I want to put one of those on and yours does not look too bad to me.   Thanks
