Author Topic: Broken Transfer Bar Pin? (Read 377 times)

Just got a .22WMR Ultra and after shooting 100 or so rounds through it, I decided to lighten the trigger and found that the Pin that holds the transfer bar together is broke. The transfer bar fell out when I removed the hammer. Can new pins or transfer bar assemblies be bought or does the gun have to be sent back? I could possibly make a new pin if one isn't available.

Parts are available from H&R, Brownell's and Numrich....Ditchdigger had H&R send him the parts free so he could do the install...

Mine did'nt break but it was not peened on both sides and it came off in the gun. I changed mine out last night and it wasn't to bad. Jennifer at NEF sent me a new one in the mail for free since it was a new gun.JPH45 made his out of a something and it worked allright. Digger

Thanks For the help guys! After looking at the pin, it wasn't broken but not peened as Ditchdigger had said. I wanted to shoot it some more, so I peened the other side and it works fine. I did call customer service today and a new transfer bar is on its way. Thanks again for the help.
