What can I get for the 45-70?

The last few times I've went to the range with the 45-70, it seems that I'm having to cock my head to much to look down the barrel and shoot. Is there something that I can put over the stock to bring it up some , or do I need to get a monte carlo stock? :? I'm not into spending alot of money, but I'll spend a few dollars. BTW, I don't have a scope on the 45-70. :-D

A neoprene shell holder with a little foam on the comb under the shell holder is an inexpensive way to get a little height and a soft place for your cheek!!

If you're having to cock you head over more than usual,I would think you would have to lower the comb on the stock you have.I can't come close to getting low enough to see the sights with my Monte Carlo stock. Digger
