I've been looking for a barrel in this caliber for my Encore, but have not seen them listed as an option at the TC Custom shop. Where can I get my hands on one of these? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I saw the one on ebay. I had been to Fox Ridge but their list of caliber offerings did not show the 460. Did you call them and ask?

I called them, was last summer......think it ran around $270

My buddy wanted one and tried to order it from Fox Ridge, but they told him they were taking orders but not making the barrels due to problems with the barrels shooting the Factory rounds. Give them a call and you can find out more details.

You have an additional 2 options, the first is to find a reasonable 454 Encore barrel and have it rechambered to 460 S&W and the second is to have OTT build you a new barrel. I've heard that FoxRidge is chambering their barrels for the 460 S&W also on a different forum group. I'm trying to put the funds together now to have OTT build me one.

I gave up on my 460, it would shoot 10" lower at 50 yards than the 454 Casull and 45 Colt +p loads in the 15" Encore barrel.

Thanks I'll check out OTT. I did call Fox Ridge and was told that barrels were available if you are handloading. They said their barrels are not able to stabilize the ammo currently produced by Hornady. I was told they are addressing the issue, but it would be several months before a barrel is ready. I wonder if they just didn't get the twist rate right or what would cause this issue?

OTT is cutting barrels on a 16inch twist and getting excellent accuracy. I posted a link to a write up on the OTT barrel.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the help. I guess I'll be saving my pennies to buy one from OTT. My wife was just asking what I had in mind for Christmas, I believe I'll just slip her the OTT order form!
