Crossbow Hunting-Legalize It Already
« on: October 31, 2005, 08:50:49 PM »
How do you guys feels the way I do, that the PGC should legalize Crossbows for Deer hunting already? Not just for Disabled folkes and some Urban areas like it is now, I meen for everyone-everywhere. I use to love to archery hunt, but never got good enough and felt very uncomfortable shooting at deer with a compound bow as I didn`t want to injure the game. I would feel much more confident and comfortable with a Crossbow. I feel within 5 years this will come to pass, but you never know. Jack.

I'm 60 and would not hunt without xbow.People who resent it are just prideful fools. You still must hunt the deer and my shoulder won't let me draw.Probably wrecked it deer huntin with a bow.

I liked the idea for those who are injured and can't pull a bow anymore, such as our 60+ friend, but if you can't master the bow but you're fit to learn, stay with another weapon.  That's what Archery is about...learning to shoot a bow!

You're not going to see the PGC legalize widespread use of the cross bow any quicker than you'll see them legalize percussion during flintlock season.  They're just using in the as a tool in the areas where the population density is higher than desirable.

Well, since I can`t shoot a Compound very well and I would love to be out during Archery season and want to be fair to the deer, why isn`t it fair if I use a more accurate BOW? It is just a bow, just like a Long-Recurve and Compound bow. Hey, people gave the Compound a hard time in the beginning, now it is common place and I hope to see the day where the Crossbow is looked at as just a Bow for Archery season. Jack.
