Yesterday was the opener for Connecticut gun season. It was at 9:10 when I shot a nice spike horn buck at about 80 yards from my stand. He dressed out at 130 lbs and will make for fine eating.
This morning my dad hit a nice button buck at about 75 yards. He debated on shooting the deer but remembered that I said we needed meat in the freezer. So we have two deer hanging on the front deck.
