Hey Remington nutt turned to the NEF side
« on: November 16, 2005, 05:08:30 AM »
Hey guys, i'm from upstate ny and I thought that I was a Remington nut.  After reading too many articles to count, I think I want a handi rifle.  I have had numerous NEF shotguns but I bowed to the pressure of my friends that said that pardners were cr@p and traded 7 yep 7 pardners in for a 870.  I no that I should be beatin' but I want to start collecting handi rifles.  What is the cost of a basic say 30-06 or 308 handi rifle??  I'm not talking any frills or bells and whistles just the basic rifle to put a scope on.

Welcome shooterx, good to have you with us  :toast:
Look around, use the search engine here, and feel free to ask any questions you can't find answers to.
Here is a link to Walmarts web site and can giev you a pretty good idea of good prices:
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3138416
These are excellent rifles and are really fun to collect and shoot.
I suppose I can forgive you on the shotgun thing this once...You didn't know-that's all :)
Enjoy

first, let me say WELCOME TO THE HANDI-HOLICS...a place where you'll always need the next "fix" wether that be a new rifle or a new barrel       A basic handi should cost between $199 and $215 @ wally world....you can order any of them at wal-mart.......usually $20 to $50 dollars more at sporting goods stores
Good shot placement + well constructed bullet = DEAD

Welcome aboard Remington Nutt, if you ever have a relapse and want to trade 7 Handi's again I have a nice Remington 870 3" Mag with a couple of barrels I would be happy to trade you for another 7 Handi's!!! Happy to have you with us, stand tall and strong in front of those that knock Handi's, we all have to. Hopefully it's at the range and they can glance at our targets with those little tiny groups on them!!!. I don't remember any deer I had to shoot more than once to knock down. Of course with my Handi's and Sportsters I do empty the gun at each and every animal I shoot at

RemingtonNutt, how far upstate in NY are you? Herb Phillipsons stores are having Handi rifles on sale this month for $169 I believe, I'm a little north of Watertown and a trip to Herbs is on my agenda this month. There is a store in Watertown and I believe one either in Rome or Utica. Hope you enjoy your Handi as much as I do mine, heck of a fine shooting rifle for the price. I haven't seen a better deal since British Enfields were selling for $9.95.

I'm just south of Rochester.  If they're still on sale I might just take the trip.

Don't be surprised if the "sale" price is after the $20 rebate from H&R.

Good thing thats too far for me to go, at that price I would need a truck to haul 'em.
