Mossberg 22 mag, any good?

I've seen some old Mossberg 22 mags at gun shows, and the price is pretty attractive. Are these accurate enough to use at around 75-100yds on ground squirrels?

Dad likes his Mossberg Chuckster in .22 mag so much that he has 3 of them.  They generally sell for $150 to $225.  They are great shooters, dad has taken dozens of groundhogs with them.
