Been a while since I have visited here but have several questions about what mags work in the 717m2. I got my new rifle several weeks ago and got one original mag with it. My dealer says he can not get any more from his distributor due to a lack of spare mags. I called Marlin and was told they are not selling them any more to keep a supply available for the new rifles when they are issued. I have heard rumors that existing Marlin mags for other Marlin semi-autos can work in this rifle, does any one know for sure which ones? Where can I get this, or new mags, online? TIA

take your gun to a gunshop somewhere and ask the guy behind the counter if you can try a few clips and see if they fit.

i would think since the M2 is the same length as .22LR, any clip for a marlin gun for .22LR would fit as long as the guns were similar.

there was a clip version of the model 60 and the model 7000 might work too.
