Killed first deer with 500 S&W

Went hunting today and shot a spike with the 500 s&w. The deer dressed at 121lbs by check station scale. The shot was around 35 to 40 yards. broad side.The shot went dead center through the left shoulder and out the other shoulder.The deer dropped , a few kicks and that was it. Very impressive knock down power.Awesome in close power.

GREAT NEWS!!!

 I'm just putting some things by the door for tomorrow morning...its the 500's maiden voyage to the deer woods!!!  Its gonna be COLD...possibly only in the upper teens! BERR...far cry from the 60's it was for opening day!!!
I'll be using my handloaded, 500gr hornadys...I really LOVE big heavy bullets!!!

POST SOME PICS of your deer!!!
