7.62 x 39 availability
« on: November 19, 2005, 02:29:26 PM »
Anyone know for sure if the 7.62 x 39 is available as a complete rifle this year ? I just downloaded the catalog and it isn't listed, the barrel only is listed on the webb site. I tried to find one locally the last few days and had no luck, Gander Mtn. says they are no longer available, but I seldom believe what the big store clerks tell me........ Its looking like I gotta send my gun in if I want a 7.62.

Quick is right ... again...

I got one.  I saw one (N.I.B.) today at a gunshow in Chantilly, Virginia.  The show is open tomorrow until 5pm, if you are nearby.

Thanks for the info, I'm a bit far from Va. though. I'll talk with one of the local shops and see if they will bring one in, if not, I'm gonna have to ship the action to NEF and get a 7.62....and maybe a 38-55 too.............I'm liking that idea more all the while !

Hi,

I picked up my Handy in 7.62x39 about a month ago.  Found it through Gallery of Guns.

They should find a dealer fairly close to you and have it there quicker than if you ordered it after getting to the gunshop.
