I have only seen 2 others. My taxidermist got one last year and he had one in the shop.  Congrats on the nice buck.  :D

The buck I bagged last week had a slight mane at the top base of the neck, about 3" or so of hair flipped over... Kinda neat.  I asked my taxidermist who is mounting the deer about it, he said sometimes they are real long like yours and sometimes just slight.   :D

My cousin killed a 11 point about 7 years ago that has a mane like that but it goes clear up to its fore head. Looks like a long mohawk. Definately adds character.

Nope.   Very neat.   If you mount it, you need to figure out how make that show.

Nice deer and yes saw one in michigan between 25 to 30 yrs ago and it was my first sighting of one, they make a great conversation piece again congradulations :D    JIM
