Boy's first big game animal

Took my son to Big Oak Hunting Club today for a hog hunt and he connected.  We found a spot in the middle of a bunch of acorns, hunting from the ground, and he shot his hog with a .243 at 20 yds.  She was solidly lung shot but made 40 yds before he put the finishing shot in with my 45-70.  Just finished some ribs from the grill....mmmmmm.

Nice hog, congrats to you both.

Are you having the hams smoked etc...or just baking them as they come?
