Savage Single shot
« on: November 16, 2005, 02:05:25 AM »
Does anyone have one? I am looking for a good single shot and do not need one that will take 500 barrels. I love the trigger on my 12 fvss. Does Savage offer a decent light Singleshot? I want something in the 7mm/08 range.

Thanks for any help or input!

Hello
Savage did have a single shot rifle, that started out in 1937 and ceased in the mid 70's. It was an action that was also used for a single shot shot gun. They are out there and I just picked up this one in 30-30 caliber, and it was made in 1965. The later ones had a neat scope rail milled into them, and a standard set of .22 rimefire rings can be used to mount a scope as shown.. Regards, Hammerdown.
