« on: September 28, 2005, 05:04:28 PM »
I have a .50 cal. CVA in-line and do alot of shooting and I also cast alot.
If I buy the Lee REAL mold and use pure lead, will it  work in my gun ?
Can I use T/C 's Bore butter in the grooves ? do I have to use a bore button, or can I just load on -top of powder ? I think my CVA is a 1:28
twist, will this bullet work ? thanks

The REAL bullet works well. You can use bore butter to lube. I mix bee's wax and crisco to make a hard lube. Use pure lead with the REAL bullet.

Anyone tried these bullets in a slow twist barrel like a 1:60? Been shooting a PRB but would like to step it up a little with a heavier projectile.

I cast some .58 cal REAL Bullets and used them in my Flintlock. They were accurate out to 75 yards and dropped the deer like a sack of potatoes. I lube them with bore butter and they load easily.
