« on: November 23, 2005, 05:20:04 AM »
Does anyone know when Marlin will be making their new XLR series of lever action rifles?

Thanks,

I've got one on order, so as soon as the wholesaler gets it my dealer will let me know.  Although I haven't gotten any official word from Marlin, my bet is we won't see them until after the SHOT Show.  If I hear any different, I'll post it here.

WHAT!!! No XLR in .35 Remington :(  :(  :( ?  I have been looking for a stainless 336 in .35 (only 500 made I hear) with no luck and now I see the XLR isn't even made in .35? What's the story?
I was at a gun store in Maine last week and saw a stainless 336 on the rack, I slid up and tried to be calm, if it was a in .35 Remington I was going to say I'd take it and THEN ask the price, not like me but I really want one!!!....<><....

Next up is the custom .35 Remington barrel for my H&R Handi Rifle!!!

Since Hornady and Marlin worked in conjuction on this whole project and seeing that hornady is going to offer thier Leverevolution ammo in .35 Rem, I'd think we'll see a XLR in .35 also.

Guessing you hit Kittery.  I'm there every couple weekends so I'll keep an eye out for ya there and more local shops.

hey MSP Ret...a bit more than I'd pay but here's a stainless 336 in .35.  Got the blued version of this (336D) and it's an awesome woods gun.

MSP Ret, as of today, Davidson's still has 48 of the stainless 35s.  There should be a dealer near you that could order one for you.
