you will be much more versitile with one of the 3 1/2 inch 12 ga. Vs the 10 ga and with todays new types of shot it will do the job just fine on geese and not overkill the ducks

Blaserman,
Like cattail said, buy the 12 ga. 3 1/2 incher. You will have the opportunity to purchase the load to match what you are hunting.

I have to respectfully disagree.  I love my 10 and use it all the time for ducks and geese.

From a versatility, shell availability and logical point of view this makes no sense.

But I enjoy using it and will probably never stop.

You have to ask a couple of questions first;

Are you going to use it just for waterfowl?

Does the 12 ga recoil hurt or affect you?

Is there a 10 ga made that fits you?

Will the 10 ga recoil be too much?

Is there ammo made for everything you will be using it for?

Which do you want?
