Congrats jbtazgrabber!

Nice Deer!

I am loving the "Super Mag" more and more everyday.

What was you load?  Bullet type, powder, etc?

I am thinking about giving the 270gr. Speer Gold Dots a try.  My Ruger Blackhawk loves them and I THINK I can get them to bump up to fill the .432 bore my barrel has ... maybe ...  :?

jb'

nice picture of a great deer.   glad to see you enjoy such a successful hunt.   i hope there are many more.

it seems to me that the .445 supermag' chambering is now a well-established modification for a Handi'.   i don't know that we'll ever see it as a factory-standard cartridge, but the use of a reamer sure has made it a step up for Handi' owners.   i'm glad to see it works so well.   your post and your photo will push more of the guys toward such a project, i'm sure.

take care,

ss'

ps: i buy imr 4227 at the shows here in n.e. ohio for a friend who loads a Smith and Wesson .44 mag'.   for more energetic loads (though i doubt they are any more accurate) I load wc-820 bulk from www.Patsreloading.com for mine.   it's a cheap alternative in 4# bottles -- if your firearm likes it for accuracy.   in any event, congratulations once again!
