I see most talk about the Williams FP. Is it better than or stronger built than the Lyman? I have a Lyman and bought it because it had the push button release. I have never seen a Williams except in pictures.

I've only used the FP, and now with a front firesight bead,
Don't know which one is stronger, but unless your chopping trees with that gun, the Williams will hold up fine, Had mine on 35 years, no problems.

I just put a FP on my lever gun and I love it. It is aluminum, but its supposedly a very strong Al alloy. I can't see myself ever breaking it (knock on wood).
