357 Max Strikes Again
« on: November 26, 2005, 04:55:08 PM »
Brought home deer #2 this morning, used my 357 Max Handi, the RCBS 35-200 cast from 1 to 1 WW and 20:1 over 21.5 grains of 4198. He was about 35 yards from me, shot hit just in front of the front leg and exited just behind the offside shoulder. He staggered on being hit, ran a few steps, fell, scrambled back to his feet and hobbled about 30 yards and fell. Entrance hole was caliber size, the exit was about an inch in size. The 357 Max is shaping up to be a great little cast rifle for playing and hunting. I could get used to this :)

:D  Good job once again!! :D
Sounds like a pretty slow load there John. But speed isn't the only thing that kills that's for sure. Do you know what it chrony's at?
4198 makes sense with the heavier bullets.

 Opps! I forgot you shot your chronograph.
no x now!
