I got my first fox today!!!
 
 I got I male red

 I had a frozen marsh I was going to snare on but I just couldn't wait so I put a #2 long spring with a drag and I followed the drag marks toaday to a nice red fox Yahoo!!
total for this year so far
3 grinners
2 coyotes
4 coons and
1 skunk

 so far :grin:

Congrats and keep up the good work,   snares and footholds are all part of the trappers tool box.  Put fox up  on proper board and turn fur side out when skin is just dry to touch but not dry all the way thru.. This usually takes only about 8 to 12 hours.  You dont want fox hide too dry so you can turn  it inside out and put back on stretcher for a few days.... Good luck in future trapping

Nicely done!  Its hard to beat following a drag to a catch.  Though, I do enjoy following tracks to a trap set too find a catch waiting.

I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning.It smells like victory!!
