OK, it looks like I will be bit with the Encore bug tomorrow. My father tracked down a 50 cal ML like I want. This has got me thinkin'. What rifle caliber barrel to get. I sold a bunch of rifles and shotguns, so I have some cash on hand. I kept 3 7600's in 35 Remington, 35 Whelen and 257 Roberts. For what I'll hunt, these will do. For some reason though 300 Savage keeps getting stuck in my head. I found these barrels at Midway and others. Does anyone have this caliber? Any thoughts, comments, or concerns? Does anyone have thoughts on other oddball/less than standard calibers?
