Time to check in.  I've got a number of H&R/NEF guns, from every shotgun gauge except 10, and rifles from .22LR, 17HMR, .223, 30-06, .50 BP.  My best friend and I hunt largely with these guns to the neglect of our other firearms.  They are simple, pleasing to the eye, and good for carrying around all day.  I look forward to reading more posts.

Howdy Bigiron, good to have you on board.  Do you fly those big egg beaters out of New River?

Brett,
I fly the CH-53E, often referred to as the Big Iron.  She's the biggest, baddest, fastest, sexiest helo out there.  After a fleet tour, I'm now an instructor pilot at the Fleet Replacement Squadron.    Since I've spent a lot of time moving and deploying, I've tried to cut back on the number of firearms I keep at the house here.  I have a receiver with a .223 bull barrel, .357 barrel, 30-06, .50 BP, 28 gauge, and 16 gauge.  A relatively small footprint that will allow me to have fun hunting anything in I could want in North America.

At least we know you're nuts... you'll fit right in here.  :)  :)

All hail the MH-6... the smallest, quickest, most maneuverable close combat support helo out there.

Brett,
Thanks.  I head back to Kansas on the 17th of Dec, and hope to put my untested 28 gauge barrel to work on small game and upland birds.  I've shot frontstuffers for years, and I'm a big fan of a gun that shoots 28 balls to the pound.  I'll give you guys an update when I make it back.  My .410, 20, and 12 bores have all made meet, as well as my .17HMR.
