which engraving came first....in what order? what's the best years to buy? is it better to have an older one with the easy open modifications, or a later one that just works to start with? do any of them seem to hold up better than others?

how much abuse can they take? i am about to buy a used one and i am wondering all these things.

would it be expensive to have TC do the easy open thing with it?

I believe that the very first were
full body cougar on a rock
original style open feature
no safety on the hammer

next were
full body cougar
original style opening
push thru safety on the hammer...rotating face for select fire

next were
full body cougar
easy open feature
rotating lever on the hammer...safety/select fire

next were
the dreaded "clown cougar" head
easy open
rotating lever...safety/select fire
