Moly coat (silver) in rimfires..
« on: December 04, 2005, 10:50:22 AM »
Is there any benefit to spraying some rimfires (bullet section only) with moly and then firing them ?
Does it help to lube the bore ? Does it help with break in ?

i moly coat all the bores of all my rilfes, it is that good, just make sure to keep the bbl and action warm or hot , turn a quarter turn each day to let the moly "sink in"  clean i t super good first, then just for giggles i fire about 100 rds through each rifle, then repeat the process. if you go to rimfirecentral  look up the marlin thread , go to mod 60 pics and stuff, you will see what my stock mod 60 will do at 100 yds.
