This whole sticky case thing makes me wonder. All thats been fired in mine in WW. It seems when reloadin' these cases are thinner. Cause they seem to work easier than the Federals used in the lever gun. Reckon what I'm askin' has anybody noticed one brand stickin' anymore than the other?

I don't have stuck brass normally after I polish the chamber on any of mine, the only time they've stuck is when I forgot to wipe the chamber after I cleaned at the range, shot too hot a load or used Norma brass in the Brenneke, which all stuck. As far as I'm concerned, stuck brass is a non-issue.

If this question applies to the Buffalo Classic, I've never read of anyone reporting stuck cases in a 45-70 BC or Handi, that's real unusual. I've shot some real hot loads in my 45-70 BC and Handi and some in the 45-120 BC, but never, ever had one stick. Are ya trimming your brass? I would think that would cause it after it got too long for the chamber. :?

Quick.
Gave up om Norma brass long time ago.Too soft. I used them in the 280AI they would expand the primer pockets in no time. For your 7x64 use 280 Rem expand the neck to 30 and and run them into your 7x64 die fire form with C.O.W. and trim. Not a big job.

Or you can buy gold plated RWS or Hirtenberger brass.

Thanks Fred, but I have plenty of Federal brass and 40 rounds of S&B 173gr which I think is RWS brass, dunno for sure, though.

Quick
S&B =Sellier & Bellot made in Prague in the Cech Republic. Pretty good stuff. No it is not made by RWS (Rheinisch Westfälische Schußwaffen)which is now( Dynamit Nobel) in Germany. Something like that.

Did not know Federal made7x64.

Why would cases stick in a low pressure round like the 45-70??? I can guess. But I don'y really know.

Federal doesn't offer the ammo anymore, but it was available loaded with 160gr Nosler partitions, I have what I bought from Lik2hunt plus another new box I bought, the case head is marked FC for Federal Cartridge, I assume.

Thanks!!
