I saw a nice Taurus M66 today with a 4" ported bbl in stainless. They wanted 265 for it. Whaddya think? Do you have one and if so, do you like it?

I have a Model 66, blued with 4" barrel, made in Brazil. I bought it new, quessing at least 15 yrs ago. It shoots better for me than my Smith. I really like it and shoot it a lot. 265 sounds a bit high, but then again everything I see sounds to high to me, according to my wife. :lol:

I didn't realize they were ported-maybe the newer ones?. Dummy me, I didn't count the # of chambers, either...6 or 7

Bought my wife a Taurus 66 with 6" barrel for Valentine's Day 15 years ago or so. She likes it OK. No porting, I can't remember when they started that. They're a good gun for the $$$$. I don't really keep up with gun prices so I don't know if $265 is a good price or not.

Turns out it was a model 669, not a model 66. Hope the price was sweeter due to the gun shop's error.

Now waiting for my dies to come-gonna seem like forever.
