when using foaming bore cleaners like the one from cva...should the breech plug be in or out? and if out..should the action be closed or open on my omega?

Breech plug out and action open. But save yourself some money and just use Windex with vinegar. I have been using it for years.

I tried the CVA foaming bore cleaner as Walmart is dumping it for $4/can. It is pretty good stuff-cleans out the bore like nothing else I've used. If you think your barrel is clean, wait till you try this stuff.

it worked great! but i don't think i had any fouling in there to begin with..thanks to the american pioneer powder!

Haven't tried it on my 209X50 yet, but I did try it on my 7-08 Encore barrel. I would have bet my paycheck that barrel was spotless. Used the Outers foaming bore cleaner per the instructions and the patch came out green (copper fouling). I've been sold on it ever since.
