a semi-auto in .257 roberts? I've only seen them in bolts, but someone I know is looking for one semi. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am always on the lookout for Roberts and I have yet to see an auto in 257 Roberts. You could get a custom one built. Several years ago I was talking to a gunmaker who said it could be done. He would have been able to build it on a Remington 7400 action. With that said, you can get a Remington 7600 in 257 Roberts. That would be the closest you'd get. If your friend is interested, I have a 7600 or a BLR I might be willing to part with.

Remington might have chambered a few in the old 740. I know they did in the 760.

You could try the various gun auction sites.

Am I correct to assume that the 7600 is a pump?
I'll let him know, but I know that he generally doesn't like pumps for some reason.
