I use my slingshot for crow and i am looking for  a good gun for most small  varmints.  have have look at 36 cal black powerder and a 410 shotgun. :roll:

Around our place we use our "adult" pellet rifle/pistols to get rid of the pest Pack Rats and Crows(not to mention the Ground Squirrels & Jack Rabbits).  Makes for great practice for big game season.  Lawdog

It depends how far and what you wan't.

Shotgun  410.

Rimfire  17hmr.

Rifle  22 hornet.
